In the evening we arrived at the reception of the Ibis hotel in Bratislava. We parked the car in the underground garage and went to check in. The young receptionist informed me that he had only 3 rooms available and I would have to have a double bed with Paolo for the next two nights. The hotel was simply full. I was terribly annoyed. I kept saying this over and over again when booking. A single for everyone and if a double then only with twin beds. I left the hotel with my suitcase and backpack. I left the room to Paolo and went looking for another hotel. I telephoned Anita Pócs and asked her to find me a room somewhere nearby. All the hotels were full or had incredibly expensive rooms. Hotel Tatrana 115 euro per night. Hotel Danubia gate even for 300. I am a gold card holder of the Danubia gate hotel, but they only had a room with jacuzzi available. I was cold and needed to go to the toilet badly. Anita phoned all the different reception desks and I searched for a hotel with my suitcase in the cold. She phoned the promoter of the City Sounds festival and told him the problem at the reception. He got angry and phoned the hotel manager. Eventually it was discovered that there was a room available in the name of David Kollar. Angry, I stomped back to the Ibis Hotel. The receptionist was as red as a tomato and didn't dare to look me in the eye.
