I’m incredibly grateful that KOMARA II is finally finished and out in the world. It’s been a long, winding process – one shaped by distance, delay, growth, and persistence. And now, we’re bringing this music to life on stage during our Czecho-Slovak tour with none other than Trey Gunn.
Trey joining the KOMARA family has brought new energy and depth to the project. His musicality is stunning, and the way he connects with Pat Mastelotto – both musically and personally – is a joy to witness every night. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by people who not only push the music forward but also make the journey itself fulfilling.

Right now, we’re traveling across Slovakia and Czechia in a car with a trailer – we didn’t fit into the van. Pat has a lot of drums (haha), and Paolo and I take turns driving. Joining us is my son, Dávid, who is helping us sell our merchandise. It’s his first time on a tour like this, so it’s a bit stressful for him, but I’m proud to see him learning and growing with us.
The concerts so far have been incredible – from Prešov to Bratislava to Opava – and today, we’re playing in Prague at Palác Akropolis. There’s something very symbolic about this tour for me. On June 18, 1996, King Crimson played in my hometown Prešov as part of their THRAK tour. I was 13 years old. Now, 29 years later to the day – June 18, 2025 – I shared the stage in Prešov with Pat Mastelotto, Trey Gunn, and Paolo Raineri. Life has a mysterious way of closing circles.

We hope to continue next year with more concerts and maybe new music. The world feels a bit unsteady these days – sometimes even insane – but I want to believe it’s temporary. What remains constant is the need for connection, for curiosity, for sound, and for expression. That’s what this tour is about. Not perfection, not control – but movement, trust, and shared experience.
Thanks for following our journey. More soon – maybe even some behind-the-scenes stories or sounds from the road.
P.S.
The KOMARA II album officially releases on June 27 via Trey Gunn’s label, 7D Media Records. Once the tour wraps, I’ll be writing a more in-depth blog reflecting on the whole journey — the music, the process, and the stories behind it all. I’ll also be recording a podcast with Trey Gunn where we talk about creativity, trust in improvisation, and what it means to keep evolving.
Stay tuned – and thank you for being with us on this road.
